In an unforgettable Summer 2 term, Year 5 students will become historical investigators and global explorers—mastering three-place decimals, metric-imperial conversions, and newspaper reporting while diving into the voyage of the Titanic, charting the human life cycle, and embarking on a dream end-of-year trip to Paris!

Summer Term 1, 2026

From uncovering the mysteries of the Solar System in Science to mastering decimals and negative numbers in Maths, Year 5 is set for a term of high-reaching academic discovery and epic storytelling with Beowulf.

Spring Term 2, 2026

Year 5 will journey from the legendary battles of Beowulf to the ancient city-states of Athens and Sparta while mastering the complexities of fractions, decimals, and percentages. In Science, they will investigate the fascinating life cycles of plants and animals, all while exploring their social responsibilities as ethical Muslims through the inspiring legacy of the Prophet (SAW).

Spring Term 1, 2026

Year 5 will blast off on a cosmic journey to the Solar System and dive into the depths of the Great Barrier Reef, while mastering fractions and figurative language alongside the inspiring life of Harriet Tubman and the stories of the Prophets (AS).

Autumn Term 2, 2025

Autumn 2 rockets students into space with George's Secret Key to the Universe, deepens Maths skills with graphs, multiplication, and area/perimeter, explores reversible and irreversible changes in Science, and time travels to the world of Tudor England (Henry VIII and Elizabeth I)..

Autumn Term 1, 2025

For the first half of the Autumn term, students will be exploring place value up to one million and applying their knowledge to addition and subtraction, all while diving into themes of ambition and desire through texts like The Man Who Walked Between the Two Towers and Robot Girl, and discovering the science of mixtures and the geography of the Alps.
